Access Control

Secure your building, provide selective access to sensitive areas, create audit trails to track the movements of staff through your building. All these are features of a modern access and security system. Recent high profile crimes in public buildings have highlighted the necessity to secure our workplaces from undesirables.

Access to areas is normally by key fobs, swipe cards, keypads and proximity cards. Anti pass back technology prevents a user from entering a door twice – Useful when a criminal steals a card, gains access to your premises and tries to pass the card to a colleague through a window for example.

Secured doors are normally linked and connected to a PC based head end, running software which can monitor the system, add and delete users, or change the access authority of users.

The technology can be installed as a stand-alone system, or share resources with the energy management and lighting system. Typically an integrated system would switch on lights or change lighting levels, and alter the area temperature setpoint when accessed.

CCTV Systems

CCTV systems are often specified as part of an integrated BEMS package. Thus, we are able to offer a range of systems to meet with your needs, whether industrial, commercial or domestic.

Surveillance systems help protect your business, premises and assets. The presence of cameras in many cases will act as a deterrent to the perpretrators of crime, but when a crime has been committed valuable evidence can often be captured for use by the police.

Most current installations comprise analogue cameras connected to a digital video recorder. The DVR provides the recording and control facilities, and often incorporated a CD-R to enable evidence to be outputted to storage medium. However, digital solutions are becoming more popular. Network cameras of increasing sophistication are available which can often be installed cost effectively due to reduced installation cost if the customers existing CAT5e / 6 wiring infrastructure can be utilised.
